Ocheme Sunday is an experienced professional with a successful career in banking, customer relations and administration. He is also a dynamic business, financial and economic expert with over 17 years’ cognate experience serving in various capacities in Nigeria’s financial industry where he successfully rose through the ranks to the position of Branch Service Manager.

He obtained his first degree in Economics from the Benue State University and then an M.Sc. in Economics from the Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) Business School. With a quest for more knowledge, he went further to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics from the Nassarawa State University which is currently in-view.

He has served in various capacities and earned the reputation of having the requisite knowledge and capability to advise high-end clients on financial matters including investments, taxes, retirement and asset management. Starting his Banking career with Diamond Bank, he thereafter worked at various times with Access Bank Plc, Ekishi Africa Ltd and Therapeau Pharmacy Ltd. Part of his policy reform work includes providing Electoral technology analysis for the European Union Election Observation Mission in 2023, to assess technological innovations in Nigeria and provide recommendations for the Federal Government.

He is skilled at analyzing, formulating, modeling and demonstrating exceptional financial, leadership and communication skills. As an adaptable and dynamic leader, having held several leadership positions in the banking sector and beyond, he has the ability to work independently and as a team member, with his work experience spanning both the financial and real sectors, with proven records of coaching and mentoring team members to deliver excellence. He is an astute entrepreneur whose desire for business development and entrepreneurial innovation has lead him to promote solution driven companies that seeks to solve critical human needs across Nigeria.

He has attended several courses and seminars in various areas of banking, credit, audit, anti-money laundry, risk analysis/management, energy amongst others. He is an active member of several professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN), the National Association of Human Resources (NHRA) and Institute of Chartered Economics of Nigeria (ICEN).
